Design Operations Architecture

Operations cover the capabilities to operate the application and include:
  • Application configuration management, ability to change parameters in the application such as key values or data or change the configuration of the software, platform or infrastructure
  • Monitoring, identifying, measuring and evaluating the application performance, transactions and security and alerting when certain events or thresholds are reached
  • Logging & auditing, registering and tracking application activities that provide evidence of the sequence of activities that have affected at any time 
  • Backup/restore, storing a copy of the data and application state and able to restore data and state of a specified past moment in time
